Friday Feelings — 5th Edition — Deal
It’s raining, men, get in the boat.
It’s raining men, hallelujah seems to be the hardest word.
It’s raining men, but not all men.
It’s raining, men — but no tall men.
It’s raining men, but not amen.
Here we’ve arrived at Friday again, one week farther from something and one week closer to another. Still in the same stupid body if we’re lucky. Last Friday we gigged in our covert capacity. This Friday we rest, at least in the sense we’re not doing that.
This week has been challenging, to be perfectly frank, and not in the mode of self-improvement. As much as last week was lovely for being so musical, I would not have coped this week, and the ways in which last week’s music deviated from my preferred course highlighted once again what it is about writing and playing music that I enjoy.
Since the writing this week has been soooo serious and might give the impression that I am an insufferable killjoy, I thought I would share a few songs that always boost my mood, which will invariably prove that I am bizarre and, indeed, an insufferable killjoy. Have a great weekend. Love yourself and someone else, at a minimum.
